Two tiny (less than 1 cm across )spent Michaelmas Daisy flowers covered in frosty frozen Crystals. At only a fraction of their original size, these spent flowers appear similar in shape, minus their once soft mauve petals and yellow stamens.
Taken on Dec 9/11 at 10:38 am on south east Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada. Camera, Canon 40D Lens, Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro lens Tripod, Manfrotto, including 498RC2 Ballhead. Taken at 1/6th’s at f/8.0, – 1/1/3 ev, at 90 mm, man white bal, iso 100. Locked mirror up and taken via timer. No cropping, sharpened details on the flowers.
This is a 3D beauty. Looks like I could reach out and pick them. I love the darken background which makes these frozen daisies really stand out. Such beauty and you captured this so well, Sandy~Lynn…..of course, a fave!!!

Thank you so kindly Andrea! It was a frosty morning and I decided to wonder around my yard for some subjects. Normally I would have already pulled these spent flower bushes out of my garden, but didn’t get to it. lol : )
