A female Spring Azure Butterfly glows under the moonlight, while sitting on tiny Forget Me Not flowers.
Spring Azures with a wingspan of 22mm ( 7/8 in) are the first of the tiny blue Butterflies to come out in the spring.
Spring Azure Butterflies are found in the openings and edges of deciduous woods, old fields, wooded fresh water marshes, swamps, bogs and suburban yards. They are found in Alaska and Canada south of the tundra, through the United States.
Taken on May 24/10 at 2:07pm on south east Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada.

Was feeling a little bit creative In Lightroom. I firstly did a histogram adjustment and than desaturated the colors except for the blues. Added a painterly effect in Topaz, slightly cropped and than sharpened in Photoshop in the lightness channel.
