Remarkable landscape. My first impression was of an intricate and delicate painting. There is a wonderful color harmony and exquisite details. The lighting is just rright with excellent details in shadows and highlights. The soft pastel colors gives the exact feel of a winter sunset. Splendid image indeed.

What a gorgeous image of this extraordinary scenery! Vancouver Island is beautiful as is all of B.C. and Alberta. We traveled to the Island and drove along the east coast but didn’t drive to the west side…heard it’s even prettier.
We returned home the evening of September 10th, 2001 just hours before all airports were shut down.

Thank you Dyle! Yes, B.C. really is a beautiful place and I am so happy to live here on the island! You will certainly have to visit the west coast of the island sometime, because due to less population, Large waves along beaches and more rugged landscaped, it really is even more beautiful!

Well, thank you so much richi! We don’t get snow every year here on the island and when we do, it often melts so quickly, especially in the lower areas, like where this particular shot was taken.
