Barack Obama has become an icon, in the sense that the image of Obama himself has become a symbol for the hopes his supporters. Barack Obama represents the effort to overcome the politics of fear with the ideals of hope and change. As such, Barack Obama is a symbol for the transition away from the excesses of the Bush White House, as well as the effort to diminish today’s democratic process into a recreation of past political battles.

With this sketch of Barack Obama on your shirt, you will deliver multiple messages of positive, progressive activism without having to say a word.

Irregular Goods is an extension of Irregular Times, one of the oldest liberal political sites on the web (we’ve been around since 1995 – dinosaurs!). We stand up for freedom of expression in word, in image and in deed. Stand with us as we envision a better world!

Dig the line art! I really dug his speech last week. However, since I read Palast’s “Best Democracy Money Can Buy”, I’m pretty much convinced that the system is rigged now. Diebold’s CEO said he would deliver Ohio to Bush (see Mother Jones’ article) and he did.

Thanks, folks. Keep in mind, dropSoul, that giving up feeds into the right wing’s politics. Despair is a consequence of fear. There are a lot of terrible things going on right now, but we need to keep on trying. I know that you understand this, dropSoul, because I see the result of your effort in your work.
