Irma holds a Bachelor degree in Theatrical Design (set & costume design, puppetry) from Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts (Lithuania, 2004) and Advanced Diploma in Interior Design (Design Centre Enmore, Sydney Australia, 2009). She is also a painter, has had numerous exhibitions solo and in collaboration with other artists in Lithuania, Czech Republic and Australia. Her works explore issues of culture, language, isolation, family, afterlife. Moved to Sydney 10 years ago, leaving behind a career in Europe. Created set and costume design for numerous theatrical productions in Sydney theatres, production & costume design for short films. Her work in Australia has extended beyond the set/production design to include solo and group exhibitions of her visual art, symposiums, workshops, further studies and research in colour and design, interior design and jewellery. Her work has been published in Australia and overseas. Visual and wearable art created by Irma is now part of private collections and selected galleries in Australia and overseas.
