Historic Los Angeles
Living in Los Angeles, one has to adapt to continuing change and it always is a welcome sight to see some of the historic buildings that still exist in the mix of mid century and new architecture. This is a photo of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel that has catered to tourists and VIP’s from all over the world. I enjoy studying the evolution of architecture in California from the Mission Period to 21st century modern architecture that is beautifully exemplified in Frank Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall. This is the new home of the LA Philharmoic. The Beverly Wilshire hotel is a landmark that has anchored the famous Rodeo Drive and unlike many hotels has kept the character of historic Los Angeles.
