This really is the closest thing I’ve ever been able to do in terms of a self portrait, whilst I agree that there may be a few proportional issues and an over abundance of moustaches, this is almost entirely photo-realistic.

For anyone who is particularly eagle eyed, yes, yes that is some lined paper with some now fairly old mathematics homework upon it. What more can I say besides the fact that I really needed paper and that I was quite possibly the most rebellious and crazed high school student that ever lived. I didn’t ask my parent’s permission before going on Cartoon Networks website and selling my siblings as slaves. Quite the flippant maniac, right?

It’s also worth mentioning, my upper lip was not adorned with a wonderful purple stache’ in 2011 and it still isn’t. Even today.

I like to think of everything I paint as a warning for all manner of impending doom’s. Primarily, I seek to spread information and hope whilst we stand on the brink of annihilation from Killer Ducks but I also want to shamelessly flaunt a Scottish national icon in everything I create and all the while show my undying affection for Penguins as the saviours of the human race in the aforementioned, fast approaching apocalypse.

Also, my name’s Ruairidh, I like Batman and marrying camping chairs.
