Bub Pub: "In the Moment"
The Bub is shaking off its digital dust and getting physical. We are launching the publication – ‘In the Moment’ – next February. List your work for publication by joining the group In the Moment.
There is prize pool of over (USD) $10,000 up for grabs. The publication will be gorgeously stunning (promise). We intend it to be the first in a series of unique publications.
Artists, photographers, writers and poets can enter their works based on their interpretation of ‘In the Moment’. Images and written works will be ranked by RedBubble members and Paul and Martin will determine the shortlist.
All published works will receive $US100 voucher with five category winners receive $US200.
The overall winner of the writing competition will receive a coveted first edition of poetry by Sylvia Plath – The Collussus. The visual image winner will receive an 1802 translated edition of Leonardo Da Vinci’s A Treatise on Painting.
The judges will be looking for quality work that illuminates the ‘In the Moment’ theme. All winners will feature in a special, limited edition RedBubble journal with only 1,000 copies to be printed and made available.
If you have always dreamed of featuring your work in an exclusive creative journal, now is the time to submit your favorite work or create a new one. The competition deadline is January 14, 2008 and winners will be announced on February 1, 2008.

you can enter a story and a photo but they will be judged separately as we havent conceived this as a photo story comp. the designers will be building the publication from the total pool of works.

You were right we have had some folks entre far too many works. So we have restricted it to a maximum of 4 written and 4 image works per artist.

That’s a shame about the limits. It should be obvious that we would submit what we think is our best work but no limits meant that we could also try to submit vastly different work in the hit and miss game of guessing the judge’s taste . . . even so, Redbubble is generous in still allowing four each of written & images. There always seems to be a handful that bugger it for everyone else though.
