Hi Dennis, This is just gorgeous! The shimmer in the wet sand, the glow in the sky, the colors are wonderful and so is the composition!

I am so glad you are taken by this glowing sunset and really appreciate your very encouraging comment.
I rejected the urge to crop in tighter to show off the kiteboard action as I realised it was really the whole scene that was the true subect of this photograph. Besides, by doing it this way the kite and rider are almost on the intersection of Thirds lines.
I was so pleased with the final result that this one sits in my own favourites folder on my HD. 8-)

I made a few good shots that evening and the evening before. There were two days of lovely sunsets then the weather went bad for about two weeks. And to think I was considering going home and not to the beach that day!
