Caesia parviflora var minor (Small Pale Grass Lily)
These very pretty and delicate little Aussie wildflowers are of the species Caesia parviflora var minor (Small Pale Grass Lily).
The flowers are sooooo tiny – as small as your little fingernail from tip to tip and are spaced along a relatively long, very thin, wiry stem.
They were very difficult to photograph within the very shallow depth of field in which I had to work as I wriggled around on the ground, propping myself up with one elbow trying to get the right angle in the right light.
These beauties were photographed along the Plots Fire Trail in Lake Innes National Park, just south of Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia, on a wonderful spring day.
Fuji S5500: High resolution jpg, Macro, +10 dioptre screw-on lens, f/8 @ 1/300sec, ISO100, EC +0.3, Hand held.

When I finally got down to their level that day just to get a closer look, I was amazed at the intricacy of their design. That is what inspired me to do all I could to make as good a photograph of these little miracles I could.
