Yes, this is a good example of where a central composition works quite well.
Quite often there is a lot of activity on and along the Hastings River right through the year so I often go for a prowl.

Great colours and silouettes mate, at first I though the boat might be better suited to the left of the shot but after a few moments of admiring the scene I decided it looks fine as it is , seems pretty balanced in my eyes after all, nice one Dennis.
