LARGER VIEW FOR THE BEST RESULT FOLKS!
THE SUBJECT:
As a springtime dawn breaks behind me, the faint light of dawn and a few of the sun’s rays begin to illuminate the valley and lift the mist reminding me of the fable of Brigadoon.
THE LOCATION:
This landscape photograph was made from the lookout at the Mount Seaview turn-off along the Oxley Highway west of Long Flat, NSW, Australia.
THE MAKING OF ‘Brigadoon’:
Six of us from the Port Macquarie Panthers Camera Club, in two 4WD vehicles set out at 5am in time to greet this sunrise on our way on a day trip to The Cells State Conservation Area and the old gold mine there.
Canon EOS D60 & Canon 28-135 IR Lens: RAW, f/5.6 @ 1/180sec, 90mm, -1EV, ISO100, Hand held.
Lightroom 2.2 & Photoshop CS3.

If your sunrise shots are too dark take the lens cap off! Glad you could make it.

I did not have any control over the lighting but I did have full control over the exposure. 8-)
