Cruising Past Perch Hole (2/2)
This lovely waterscape was photographed from the shore of Perch Hole, a part of the Lake Innes , just south of Port Macquarie , NSW, Australia, late on an autumn afternoon.
Fuji S9600, hand held.
I had set out to shoot just the waterscape until I heard the boat coming from my left so I pre-focussed and waited until the boat was between the two trees.
Visit the Waterscapes & Waterfalls collection in my BubbleSite Gallery for more fresh water scenery.
Enjoy!

Gorgeous InPort! LOVE the reflections so much :) Looks like a really nice place :)
Dennis Gay
G’day Craig!
I’m glad you like it mate. It’s a beautiful little place, about 0.7Km from the main road and very peaceful.
There is a resident blue heron there that I have been after for a while now but so far with only mediocre results. I’ll nail him one day!
Craig Shillington
Ohhhhhhhh ;) Makes me think of the Movie On Golden Pond :) :) Awesome :) :)
Dennis Gay
G’day again Craig,
So nice to see you come back for a second look. Many thanks for the supportive comment mate.

Great picture! Looks like a calm and beautiful place, I can imagine the boat was heard from far far away :)
Dennis Gay
G’day Gustav,
Many thanks for your very encouraging comment mate.
Yes, the buzz of the outboard motor was heard long before the boat came into sight. At first I was annoyed because it would interrupt “my shot” but then I thought I would wait until it was between the trees to add another element to the photograph.
God bless you and yours,
Dennis

Beautiful image, love the reflections, well done
Dennis Gay
G’day Daniel,
Sadly the foreground to about six feet, (2m) past the trees is as dry as a bone. This is due to the council draining the lake as they do every five years. It will take about another five years for the water level to get back to this height so I look forward to that.
Thank you so much for your most encouraging ”...well done” wrap for this lakeside scene. So glad you like it mate.

Excellent foresight on your part to wait for the boat to place itself so perfectly between the trees…adds a delightful touch to this amazingly beautiful photograph Dennis. The stillness of the water and the clarity of the reflections is incredible
