I just love your Flannel Flower Lampshades! Excellent composition and delicate colouring. Good depth of field. The flowers are well set off against the dark background. The back light provides just the right amount of rim lighting, while you have managed to retain good detail in the foreground. Lovely shot, well done!

The underexposing has certainly highlighted the lampshade petals.

I see you took this in daylight, is it a trade secret how you get those fabulous dark backgrounds in these conditions? I’ve always wondered how it’s done.
