Three Faces of Eve
Though these very delicate and pretty little yellow Tricoryne elatior (Yellow Rush Lily) are fairly common, finding three flowers so close together to make a good composition is a rare find, especially with the three faces at different angles to each other.
Photographed along a track at Grant’s Head, Bonny Hills, NSW, Australia, on an overcast spring afternoon, they were close to the ground out of the breeze. The problem that created was that the background was so close that even the large aperture and shallow depth of field did not knock it out sufficiently so I made the exposure for the brightest petal to darken the background as much as possible.

G’day Kristina,
So nice to see you out along the Grant’s Head track on my wildflower hunt and that you are the very first Bubbler to comment on my tripple whammy yellow lilies.
Thank you so much for your encouraging ”...great…” wrap for my native floral photographic efforts.
I have noticed over the past springtimes here that each spring sees a couple of different species being more dominant. Last spring in this area it was the Common Fringed Lilies that were dominant. This year it is these yellow beauties. All part of Nature’s cycle I suppose. 8-)

They are lovely Dennis, I find yellow is very hard to capture on my camera. The detail of the centres is wonderful

Heaps big thanks to all the bubblers who have supported this work. Without such encouragement and support it may still well be buried somewhere deep in my hard drive never to see the light of competition.
