Blue Beauty
This little blue beauty, a Thelionema caespitosum (Tufted Blue Lily), was photographed along a track at Grant’s Head, Bonny Hills, Australia, on an overcast spring afternoon.
What was unusual was that I had never seen these wild Aussie natives growing in this area and this was the only plant I could find so the find itself was most surprising. It is also the only of its kind I have found so far with a full flower and an opening bud in good juxtaposition for a good composition.
Fuji S9600: RAW, Super Macro, f/3.7 @ 1/900sec, Manual focus, Hand held.
