Lone Surfer #1
THE SUBJECT:
A lone surfer cuts across a good wave late on a very windy winter afternoon with the sea mares racing him to the beach.
THE LOCATION:
Photographed from the breakwater at North Haven , NSW, Australia, about a thirty minute drive south of Port Macquarie .
THE MAKING of ‘Lone Surfer #1’:
Though the light was low the highlights were extremely bright so I used a Circular Polarising Filter that reduced the exposure by 2 to 3 Stops which was incredibly effective.
Fuji S5500: High resolution jpg, 1/1000sec @ f/5, -1 EC, ISO100, Hand held.
Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3.
