Welcome to Our Pad
With their so apt common name of Snowflake Lily this peeking pair of Nymphoides indica soaking up the dappled light seem to offer an invitation to their pad.
The photograph was made with my legs dangling over the edge of a very narrow rickety old wooden jetty jutting out into a large pond at a Port Macquarie Panthers Camera Club friend’s property at Kundabung, between Kempsey and Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia, on an early autumn morning.
I used full manual control over the camera for this shot to ensure I did not blow out the pretty delicate little lilies and to make sure I caught the full effect of the dappled light.
Fuji S9600: RAW, Manual setting of f/11 @ 1/250sec, Manual focus, Hand held.
Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3.
