One Autumn Afternoon
Oh that glorious, wonderful, beautiful light!
THE SUBJECT:
Two kayakers out for an autumn afternoon paddle caught in the glorious light of a setting sun.
THE LOCATION:
Photographed from the veranda of the old Créma Espresso Bar, on the south bank of Hastings River, the best caffeine oasis in Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia.
THE MAKING OF ‘One Autumn Afternoon’:
Sipping a [_]>a flat white, taking in the wonderful light painting before me when I saw the two paddlers coming down river and was amazed at the effect the light had on them.
Alas! The original RAW file and all the EXIF data was accidentally deleted while I was experimenting with Lightroom 1.1 when I first played with it so the following information is from memory.
Fuji S9600: f/8, Hand held.
Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3.

Hey, enough of the “You re great!” already!
As flattering as that may be, I am just another photographer learning the art.
I do strongly believe though in getting the best I can from my camera with all the experience and knowledge I have at any given time.
What you see in my portfolio is only what I consider to be my best work, some of which has won an award in camera club and local competitions. One was actually given an accetpance in an international competiton.
My impetus is that at the ripe old age of 63, I may not have many years left to become as good as I would like to be but I DO so enjoy the journey. 8-)
