THE SUBJECT:
I am still rapt that I was able to capture the sheer delight this young fella is feeling in riding a great tube.
THE LOCATION:
Another winter in Port Macquarie , NSW, Australia and another great season for some bodyboard action at Town Beach as the surf breaks closer to my spot on the end of the breakwater and the winter sun gives me some great light.

If that was me on the board you’d be publishing the photo in a ‘Horror’ gallery where the scared look on my face would best belong. This young chap must have been doing this sport most of his life, he looks so naturally at ease.

The kids here in Port start surfing very early in life. It is even listed as a sport in the schools’ curriula. We also have a few world champs in town.
