Callistemon pachyphyllus (Wallum Bottlebrush)
This brilliant red wildflower stood out so well against all the greenery in very bright light along Plot’s Fire Trail, just south of Port Macquarie , NSW, Australia, in the Lake Innes National Park .
The flower is a fine example of Callistemon pachyphyllus (Wallum Bottlebrush) .
Fuji S5500: RAW, Manual settings of f/2.8 @ 1/1000sec, Macro, Hand held.
Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3.

I am sure they are growing well in the conditions over there. Our Aussie wildflowers are pretty tough.
