Duck Prints

Duck Prints

I have yet to see the giant seabird that left these footprints in the wet sand but it seems to be some kind of duck.

Photographed on Town Beach in Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia, late one winter’s afternoon.

Fuji S9600: f/8 @ 1/340sec unfiltered and hand held gave me the scene.
Lightroom and Photoshop CS3 rendered the glorious gold.

NB: I printed this on Ilford Galerie Smooth High Gloss Media and it came up a treat!

Nothing to do with JC on the other shot I suppose?
Well spotted Dennis and a very good golden color. :)

    G’day Thordis,

Nice to see you down on Town Beach taking in the end of day and for being first to spot the footprints of this mysterious creature.
Thank you very much for your most encouraging ”...Well spotted…” comment for my seashore efforts.

Hmmmmm, I doubt if JC needed swim fins, ;-)

    G’day Dennis.
I saw this or something similar on one of your uploads on DPF, and ever since I’ve been hunting to see the creature making these prints. They may also be seen here.
However, the sand is not quite this beautiful here. Excellently captured, gorgeous lighting.
Hope we can expose this creature soon.

It is the same photograph as you saw in DPF but this version was processed much differently and produced a much better result in my ‘umble opinion.

As for the mystery of the creature that made these prints…....... I feel some things are best left a mystery. 8-)
