Who Left A Pyramid On My Back ?

Who Left A Pyramid On My Back ?

I knew I couldn’t come back from Egypt without a shot of the Pyramids and a shot of the Sphinx, so I thought I’d save space and take them both in the same shot. A fair bit of experimentation has taken place in the processing department with a few new techniques I’ve trialled, so feel free to tell me its crap if you don’t like it.

Can’t think why they didn’t do it that way in the first place. I suppose its a bit late to submit a design change now?

It’ is nice to see such an iconic monument from a different angle.
And the ironic thing is that the Sphinx is so small, relative to the pyramids.
This shot makes it look so much bigger! Well done Craig.

If you look really close on the larger version you can see the trig station on top of the Pyramid too :)

never being to eygpt i never would of known that the pyramid didnt belong there,so well blended!

  • Craig Goldsmith replied

Steve – No blending required that’s where it is, its just a trick in the perspective that makes it look like its on the Sphinx’s back rather then on the hill behind the Sphinx.

I think this is great! It’s not the traditional sphinx shit that you always see. And the bright blue sky just adds to it’s glory.
