Stonehenge
Stonehenge and a moody dusk sky, the place has a real old magic to it, like your staring at the roots of the earth, metaphorically speaking.

Was it blowing a gale and freezing? We were there in December and it was cold on that plain. Great Shot!
Craig Goldsmith
Windy, cold, the wife (again was freezing and bored in the car) I had to walk the long way around for most the shots I wanted, almost got run over a few times by truck drivers.

Were you inside the perimeter or on that road that leads into the kiok and entrance? When we were in Europe and England at Christmas, I draggged the family all over the place – usually late at night, to take photo’s and it was a wonder we didn’t end up divorced.

I would have imagined the weather wouldn’t have been too bad, England is bearable in Summer, good shot bye the way.
Craig Goldsmith
Hugo – It wasn’t a typical English Summer, one day free of rain while we were they and unusually COLD.
No photo were taken inside, didn’t want to piss off the guards, I had my tripod and full height to shoot over the main fence (near the carpark). And then walked down to the junction with the other road, and back up it (fairly dangerous as your right on the road, and shot from that direction as well.

LOVE the colours in this, very atmospheric!
Damian
Awesome shot! Love the framing and sky!
It’s a shame to hear about all the trucks and roads and kiosk. That must kill a lot of the atmosphere.
AbyssalSoul
It absolutely feels like magic is about to explode in the air. So good! The trucks… damn, well, guess technology invades it all but the shot has an overall feeling of ancient wisdom, of a long lost mystery. It’s awe inspiring!

Stunning sky, I guess you have increased saturation a bit ;-) Like it!
Craig Goldsmith
There has been some processing in this shot but not as much as you might think, we had a magic sunset and dusk out there, one of the best for the whole trip.
Mahen Makwana
Another spectacular moment captured for all to see…How do you do it?!
Craig Goldsmith
Trust me Mahen it isn’t as easy as it looks, a few of the images in my portfolio were real marriage testers, this being one of them.

Great shot Craig, I used to live near Stonehenge before they put up the perimeter, and spent many a happy hour there watching the sun come up, but wasn’t ‘into’ photography at the time, shame really I could have got some great shots, but this is a lovely shot I love the colours, and I’m sorry you find our summers cold…. rofl…
Craig Goldsmith
Blod – we had exceptionally bad weather even for England so all our English friends told us, so I won’t hold it against you, maybe next time we come back we’ll be luckier :)
