Thanks guys, my wife was in the car it was blowing a gale, raining and I felt bad for her so kept this photo shoot to 20-30 minutes, I wish I hadn’t now as my favourite shots so far in my trip have all been taken at night.

I can’t believe what i’m seeing, this place looks straight out of a kids book..You lucky man, going to all these great places..

Shaddy I was thinking it looked a little like Minas Tirith, it really did have a magical middle earth feel to it.

I have seen a lot of photographs of Le Mont Saint Michel.. but this one is quite unusual
and the lighting is perfect !

Craig, this is just the most perfect shot I’ve ever seen of Le Mont Saint Michel. Well done. I haven’t quite made it to this stunning part of the world yet, just to it’s English counterpart. But if that is anything to go by, I think it’ll be the first stop on my next trip to Europe!

I went during the day and it was still freezing and windy and freezing!
I got some nice shots of the place though I did wish for a less cloudy sky.
I really like how the abbey looks like a castle from a fairytale at night!

You don’t half get around, how many different places is that…..But you do get some great shots, nice one.

Craig, been to Mont St. Michel several times. I think this is the nicest shot I’ve ever seen of it, and so cool that you took it at twilight and in those conditions. Your comp is excellent with the waterway leading to the mount. Great shot!

I visited here when I was small and had forgotten what a magical place it was, such a beautiful shot and thank you for reminding me of forgotten memories :)

I agree with Jodi! It’s probably one of the best photos I’ve ever seen of this magical place. I love Brittany and its windsept, rainy coasts. I’ve visited Mon Saint Michel many times and feel you really have captured its glittering, enigmatic ambiance.

The place that started it all for me aged 5 as we walked across the causeway, my father handed me a cheap plastic camera, I had done the eintire roll of film before we got the entrance LOL

sadly I can’t find any of the photos I took that day, but I was hooked from then on, although it has fluctuated between passion and hobby, now I am retired the passion has returned with the time to indulge

and I have a special plan to return to this wonderful place, this time armed with a proper camera and a better knowledge of what I am doing

oh and a little more patience too :-)
