Awesome angle of view… love it!

Anyone who subjugates photography as a second tier art form, should be pointed in your direction, and to reference this shot -masterful crop. It almost looks as though there is a conversation being overheard…ever thought of adding a caption?
“No really, it just looks small because it’s cold out…”
Nando MacHado
The composition/framing is brilliant. It’s a totally new take on such a well-know monument. Great job!
Craig Goldsmith
David – I did this they were whispering about something, and she is looking in that direction. But to be honest it was 33 degrees that day, so he’s clutching at straws.
Snurfdood – Made me laugh, I wonder if the original artist was a male or female..
Thanks everyone else for all the great comments.

Wonderful job, love the display. Great close up and perspective! * about Craig`s comment.. Pssst… most likely it was a female she`ll usually portray it as it is, men might want to lie about it just a fraction or so…(Just kidding! )
Keegan Wong
Wow great job once again Craig, I love the way the statues are positioned to the side with the Eiffel tower as a backdrop, this is a classic shot!

This is a great shot. you have made a normally boring and overdone subject kinda fresh again. Yeah, this is a great picture. I love the kind of inversion of subject matter, how the tower, normally centre stage, has become just a part of the scenery.
Michael Douglass
Excellent one Craig! Creative framing.
Adela Hriscu
Wonderful composed, perfect light, and beautiful sense of humor!
TonyLegg

It takes me time to comment but seems that today I’m all hyper so here I go: The way the statue stares at the camera is almost like inviting the viewer to “come in”, to dare to move forward and head to Eiffel’s Tower. If I could think a phrase for the statue that would be “It’s only a few steps ahead.”
I must add the sky of that day was glorious. They feel absolutely epic and match the tone of the picture.
sian houle
i notice he is missing a finger….did he get too fresh? haha
momleeb

David Taylor
Brilliant!
Cathleen Taraw...
Great shot of the statues – can you photoshop the cellphone tower in the background out?
Craig Goldsmith
Cathleen I could, but it might be a little imbalanced then :)
Jewd
I love your depth of field and the compositions have alot of tension, then you open it all up with a vast expanse of cloud, really clever….
GODD
THIS IS LOVELY!
Craig Goldsmith
Wow, thank you however just bought this!
/ does a happy dance
Hoffard
Wow!!! Great peice!!! Love the perspective… Beautiful!!!
Tanya B. Schro...
Wonderful composition – are they standing in line to climb the tower? :-)
Craig Goldsmith
No, we didn’t climb the tower. My wife and I had a personal guide (a english speaking local) who is a talented and accomplished photographer, she was fantastic.
David Harris
Great and unusual view of this famous landmark!
sasha
Great – most people would have been shooting the tower – this is really refreshing!
mklau
