Constructed in 1804-5, this is the sixth in a flight of nine locks linking the Rochdale Canal to the Bridgewater Canal in Manchester city centre.It is grade 2 listed and is now surrounded by modern urban development.It is situated at the entrance to Bridgewater Hall Basin (just beyond the lock’s top gate), behind the Haçienda Apartments on Whitworth Street West.
HDR tonemapped in photomatix pro and converted to black and white in cs4/silver efex pro. Canon 7d with Canon 10-22mm wide angle lens.
