Artist's Description

Acrylic on canvas 50cm x40cm

Some people are not allowed to speak. If they tell their story they are ignored. They complain about being tortured and the community dismisses them as not knowing what’s good for them. The community fears them because of media propaganda. They’ll try anyway to tell their story, even if it’s in expression dance. When will the population listen and stop the white-coats from torturing them? They are not in a coma, they can speak.

This is how they shut you up:
Stephen Lawrence commented on Carolyn Cordon’s status:

“I come across people like this professionally. So here’s some free advice, Dr NO: find a carer who will coordinate your ‘activities’ and do what they say. And take the recommended medication, otherwise you’ll be a danger to yourself and others. Let’s not hear from you again.”

You cannot criticise psychiatry, that is a diagnoseable offence. It is ‘being resistant to treatment.’ Stupid people agree with that!
Got to put them all in prison, those psychiatrists who tortured people and stop letting them have a platform to speak. They’re not artists, they don’t entertain. They’re not relevant. Artists are.

Price for this painting, ‘Non compos mentis’ by Initially NO is: $999,999.
There is so much yet unsaid covered in white-gaffa.
