Initially NO

If there was any who sells recycled timber stretchers in Melbourne, or knows of a person/place that does this, please let me know. I see so much wood dumped in the street, so much old wooden furniture, so much wood from renovations; all going to the dump. I want this industry to grow in Melbourne and to be very widely known. There is a need for it and a lot of free raw material. And, I don’t want to think about trees dying so I can paint.
I used to make my own recycled timber stretchers in various shapes. But, I don’t have access to that kind of sawing equipment anymore. So I’ve been getting them at opportunity shops or when people dump them in the street. I haven’t found a lot recently and sometimes they can be a bit warped. And while this can be an exercise in creativity. Often there is a need for a more traditional product.
Something in me says it is horrible a waste to use new already canvassed stretchers imported from overseas and probably originally exported from our forests by illegal loggers. But this is what we do. I’m supposing. People want everything to be very neat and formulae.
