I am an eternal student, museum guide, flying mom and carer. Dutch expat, recently moved to Brussels after living in Singapore for 7 years. I really enjoyed living in South East Asia but now get to re-explore Europe.
Photography was an old love, rediscovered since doing a course in Digital Photography with the Open University in 2007. I prefer using manual settings and natural light, but I do love the digital darkroom and its possibilities, so far I have used PS Elements 5 and 7. I am slowly getting addicted to using textures and try to make and use my own images for that.
Flowers, plants and landscapes are my main subjects, but anything colourful will catch my eye. I would love to make more pictures of fauna, but they’re not always so cooperative. And I’m a bit too shy and wary of intruding to make many candid shots of people :-)
I love the way photography makes me look more and become more creative and I thrive on all the colour in the world.
I started this digital adventure with a Minolta Dimage Z1, my first DSLR was a Nikon D60 and since June 2010 I have a Nikon D90.
