The salt trade is still going in Mali, this group travelled for 35 days and nearly reached Toumbouctou, its a very hard life for the animals but also for the men, they walk for hours non stop even during the night. When the heavy salt tablets are taken of their backs , they can way over 30 kg! the donkeys gather together in this lovely position 3 or 4 together and hang over eachothers backs, what a lovely way to rest.Mali
