got to love dragonflies :) Amazing detail you’ve captured here.

How did you do that background? I’ve been trying to figure out how to do photo teeshirts without making the images rectangular. I don’t have photoshop… is that what you used?

Thank you so much Alison, YES I do love dragonflies hehe.

The background…....first I changed the whole image to sepia, then I faded the edges and boosted the sepia tones a bit….that left portions of the background white. I have it posted on a few other sites just like that….but then for the t-shirt since I too didn’t want rectangles, I cut out the white portions so that just the sepia was left, so no matter what color the picture is put on, it will still not be a rectangle. I do have photoshop but for the final cutting I used Picture It 2000 an inexpensive program I picked up years ago but it’s served me well.

Thanks for the tips, Rain. Someone told me the other day that dragonflies are lucky symbols in Feng Shui. I’ve no idea if that’s true, but my dragonfly cards are probably the most popular, along with a whimsical pear (!). Seems they strike a chord in the psyche for whatever reason… a symbol of transformation?

Anyway I bet this one sells :)

Awwwww Thank you so much Alison!! I have no idea either if they are lucky for the everyday person or not, but they are one of my ‘animal totems’ I’m part Native American, so for me they are very good to see around, they always seem to land on me or hold still for the shots. I made cards a few years ago, I would love to check out yours!!
