Ooooh, just the sight of coloured pencils almost makes me drool! Lol. I know someone who might even feel compelled to try to put them all in order :)
BTW you’re still coming up regularly on my activity monitor :)

You’ve started coming up on mine now as well. I saw that you wrote something and posted something :) That’s a big relief, I missed out on so much!!
I have the same problem with the colors in order, with my colored pencils and watercolor pencils..but with the kids’ hmm now that would last all of 3 minutes. LOL

Beautiful stock shot indeed. Ive been thinking/wondering how much work it would be to upload photos to several stock sites and hope to actually get some income from them. So far ive only sold photos via www.fotolia.com and for a maximum of 20 dollars per shot, or for small resolutions a mere 1 dollar per photo… So ive not earned more than 100 dollars yet, which is the minimum they payout. Ive had problems with certain sites requiring at least 5 mpx resolutions, or not accepting photos due to them being not focussed enough, too edited, too noisy, you name it, they used it as an excuse, very strict. Also the requirement to add names, notes, descriptions, tags, etc, took a lot of time.
I now have a DLSR with 10mpx, so resolution is no longer a problem. Im still wondering if I should try to make more product photography, studio photography of items, like these pencils, or if I should continue with what I do most, landscape photography. Ive sold landscape photos to individuals who contacted me via my Flickr page, one for 150 USD and another for 570 euros. I dont think I will ever earn that much via any stock site, so Im wondering if it would be worth it :)

Christiaan, yes it doesn’t pay out very much at all and is very time consuming, I have dial up internet so it takes even more time for me to work at these, however the sites I belong to also accept nature photos (still very strict on what they accept, and have all those same requirements) but so far I’ve only sold four and have been at the stock sites for about one month. The thing I think makes it worth it is, I can still have my work for sale anywhere else as well. I don’t feel I am cheating myself when I upload to a stock site and earn very little when I can earn very much from the same photo on another site. The more places we have our work the more likely we’ll sell them.
I guess it really depends on the person and how much time they want to put towards it. I do enjoy doing stock photos like these but if they only accepted those I don’t know if I would have as much of a reason to give them a try.
If you would like to give the sites I use a try, let me know..they do take international photographers and buyers and it’s a nice compliment to this site.
