I’m doing what’s right.
Morality is objective so I’m talking my terms, keep up but don’t eat up.
Be bold. Stand for something alone.
For every five steps forward, I’m pushed back to the second or third.
Progress is on the horizon, always.
It has become painful at times, such a tease.
And yet, I’m so far away.
Loneliness makes good company.
I’d rather sacrifice my heart than my mind.
What is it to you? What I have done with my life.
Who am I to you? Besides a victim of circumstance.
No more.
The victim is now time, as it should be at my hand.
Take me for everything, should my mind set yours free.
To fall short is human.
To live forever, one can only dream.
