Do you wander through the lifeless hollows, thirsting for the light?
Do you seek – in vain – bright, hope-filled paths to pull you from eternal night?
Do you cry as all the paths you take lead you through deeper strands?
Do you scream as webs of pain enclose your mind? Webs you spin with your own hands?
‘Silently you whisper “carry me…carry me…”
But you drown, sinking silently, beneath the cold dark sea’
Do you travel to the ocean as you beg for sweet release?
Do you plunge into the waters, searching for a final peace?
Does the icy cold assail you as you weep in disbelief?
Do you breathe the freezing hopelessness? Do you swallow blackest grief?
‘Silently you whisper “carry me…carry me…”
But you drown, sinking endlessly, beneath the cold dark sea’

A thought provoking piece. Very well written.
