  • shayne2011

    shayne2011

well, the clouds have the feel of a nuke mushroom, but I love their tight definition. Normally I’d be thinking that some of their colour should be included in the cityscape…but this works very well. :)

Looks great – must have been a lot of work to get it this good but probably a labour of love.

  • Tony Middleton

    Tony Middleton

very moody scene…the orange glow on the clouds contrasts so heavily with the haze ans city below that it works well.

Shaun, this is stunning. I have some lovely shots from Mt.Cootha taken when our son visited from the U.K. where he is now living . It was Mother’s Day 2008 but this one of yours is unusual. It almost looks like a bomb blast in the sky.

  • Shaun Johnston replied

Thanks Gloria! The colours have been pumped up to increase drama in the sky, but the cloud formation that day was awesome nonetheless :)

Love the HDR treatment here. Fabulous colors. If it wasn’t for the civilization below the clouds, it would look somewhat supernatural. Beautiful!
