Hampi was the 14th century capital of Vijaynagar Empire which was ravaged, pillaged and plundered in 1565AD by the Mughal rulers. Hampi is in north Karnataka, 363kms from Bangalore.
This is a listed monument. In 1986, UNESCO inscribed the group of monuments at Hampi as a World Heritage site.
This shot was taken in the morning, I returned to the same place in the evening to capture the dancing reflecting sun’s setting rays.
