The day the wind loses its euphoric touch
Is a day I hope to never see,
The day a rose is just another flower
Is a day I hope will never be.
The day I forsake the sun’s embrace
Is a day I’ve lost the thirst to explore,
The day the rain is no longer sheer ecstasy
Is a day lost forevermore.
The day my heart forgets such simple wonders
Will mark a black day in time
For should I live to see such a day
Surely, I do not live – I have already died.

The simplest things in creation are blessings and I hope that I always see them this way.
