The trees are restless,
dancing about in a wind
that feels pointless
and I can sympathize
with roots that don’t seem sure
and branches that claw at the sky,
longing to hold on to something
that won’t fall.
Another of my top favourites. I just scribbled this down one day, but only when I came back to it months later did I realize just how true it is for me.
