Some wairua happening here. That blue in the sky gives a nice effect :>)
Thanks, how are you…?
beautiful tree. Very very nice!!!
Hi, thanks. Its my favourite tree by far (-:
Fine thanks! just Cruising the Bubble enjoying all the super fine artwork and wishing i knew one end of a camera from the other!!!!!!Who knows maybe one day. Gotta get a camera first! might help.
Beautifully shot and impeccably composed. I love the detail in the silohouette of the tree and that small splash of blue in the sky compliments it so well. Excellent.
thank you so much. this tree amazes me. it’s roots and base are submerged in salt water for 12 hours a day. i have many photos over the years but am noticing it is getting very old and frail now. we think it is at least 500 years old
Its a marvellous tree. Its fantastic that you have a ‘timeline’ of it. Do you know what type of tree it is? I would have thought a mango variety considering its submerged for so long in salt water..but not an expert and not entirely sure.
oh yes it is Pohutukawa. only available in NZ (-: this is at the bach in Northland where we spend our summers. It was flowering when we got there this year which was amazing. Pohutukawa only flower once a year for a week, generally around Christmas hence its nickname "The NZ Christmas Tree’. but people only say that because they can’t say Pohutukawa haha. I will post more. . .
Oh beautiful. Have you shots of its flowers? That would be good too. Thanks for the awesome info.
gorgeous shot…..so serene….
so beautiful, nice capture :)
