Nice one Himi …. to me as a kiwi living away from home, there’s a look that is distinctly New Zealand, that i still have trouble describing, but i know it when i see it – and this child has it…. it has something to to do with how Maori and Pakeha (in the broadest sense of ‘pakeha’ – ie, non-maori or polynesian) have blended over the generations since our cultures met. I reckon i would spot it anywhere in the world … i spot it over here in Aus all the time. Happy new year, too….
