Incognita had a feeling that she was missing something important... by

Incognita found that she was enjoying her afternoon walks less and less. She couldn’t put her finger on the cause, but there was definitely SOMETHING…

Studley, naturally, knew JUST what it was. Her problem, he thought to himself, is that she can’t see the words for the trees.

trees, spider, incognita, shut the fuck up, gothic humour

I LOVE It! Fantastic! Love the arboreal alphabet you have here!

  • Thanks Donna! It was you who really kicked me into gear here with your fantastic topiary alphabet! I’ve been trying to make this one work for ages… I originally made the letter for a little animation thing I did a couple of years ago but I just couldn’t make it work in the A3 format. Then I had the week from hell… and I realised that the world really IS trying to tell me something… and it all came together. there’s actually a teeShirt of this on its way ;)

BTW I have a little digital collection of arboreal alphabets from the 18th/19th centuries if you’re interested. One of them is used in the ‘idiot’ on the horizon…

Cool! I noticed the “idiot” in one of your other artworks too. Fantastic! I have drawn some letters of my Topiary letters but have not uploaded them yet. Now YOU have given me a kick up the bottom too! Thanks!

  • They’re quite big files, but if you’d like copies, bubblemail me your ‘real’ email address and I’ll either email them to you or, if your isp has a download limit, put them up on so you can download them.

Great to see more of that alphabet up! At this rate we’ll be able to generate an alphabetical forest…
