she’s an indian woman – and she has been my canvas for a few weeks ..her red and white bangles and a red streak of red powder which she calls sindoor is the symbol of womanhood and red has always been symbolic to fertility, love, beauty as she says in her broken English to me often..white bangles depict purity and loyalty towards the new life she has started after being married to life once again smudging sindoor on her forehead ..
