In music notation, the term “subito” means (meaning “suddenly” in Italian) and it is used alongside other musical commands to make their effects immediate and abrupt. “Con spirito” means to play "with spirit”. The seamstress cuts abruptly the connection that the man is trying to recreate between them by reaching to offer her a bouquet of notes played with fire.
The man loves music pants and cotton belts as it is obvious, but the woman prefers lace, so the relationship could never have worked anyway. You know what I mean.
The Sketchbook Project Limited Edition 2012 (Theme: Thread and surface / Title: Sempre Legato)
About this sketchbook project
The dolls’ parts were carefully assembled with needle and thread. I used one unique thread to sew all dolls – the thread runs throughout the whole sketchbook, binding the dolls’ limbs with the rest of the body and at the same time binding each story with the next one.
music, music sheet, musical partition, musician, longing, sketchbook, sketchbook project, ina mar, thread, doll, puppet, paper doll, dreams, bridge, distance, river, symbolism, love, lovers, divorce, separation, seamstress, sewing machine, scisors, fashion, lace, hands
