Like you, I too am very deeply impressed by Loui Jover’s hands. In fact, I’d say, I’m pretty much impressed by everything that guy does. His gallery is pure ‘quality’; which mine never ever was; and, I don’t think ever will be, neither; I have a very ‘uneven’ output; with a lot more odd/than even! Still it’s good to have somebody to ‘inspire’ you; and, show you the way to go… ;-)
In regards to your own artwork above, I like it, because it’s got it’s own style. I also like the way you’ve gone and coloured everything in…it’s almost like seeing 2 different canvases…one blue/the other one red; yet, the hands connect them. For me, hands, are really hard to draw; everything is hard to draw…feet/heads…but, hands are impossible! So, I admire those people who can do that. Very good work! ;-)
Paul, thank you very much for your taking the time to look at my work and comment! Please, don’t speak like that about your work! The most important thing is not if you manage to draw the hands – but the idea behind your drawing, and most of all, the fun you are having while drawing!I recently watched the film “Goya’s Ghosts”. While Goya is making a painting from life of priest Brother Lorenzo. He asks him if he wishes him to paint the hands: one hand, two hands, or no hands. Brother Lorenzo wishes him of course to paint the hands, but as soon as Goya explains him the price difference, Lorenzo immediately hides his hands under his priest robe without further comments! This scene is so funny but also so true.
such powerful and emotional work.much appreciation.
thank you brennan!
LOL Really loved hearing that story. ;-)
I like the spark of hope visible here. Fascinating work Ina!
love is difficult but possible

Thank you a lot Adam.
lovely work in and of itself … be inspired
Thank you for commenting my work, Catherine! I appreciate it a lot!
love your sensitivity it really comes through your work. Totally inspiring!
thank you for your nice words, Donna. I am rather inspired than inspiring though… ;)
i was really just enjoying this beautifully sensitive work, then i began reading the comments and noted my name…i then read the description text and have seen my name mentioned there, i can only express my most joyed pride at being associated any any minor way to a work so very exquisite and tender….i must note that if any influence was contributed by my work to Ina then it is important to mention that i in turn feel inspired by her tremendous expressive drawings often and always…thank you Ina.
Dear Loui, I don’t know what to say… except for blush blush blush…. thank you so much for your encouraging words. I had in mind some of your images like “Artist and model with time past” where the hands do something else in another time, place or dimension…
Beautiful and touching work…I love all of them and will be exploring your portfolio with great interest.
Thank you very much! It is very appreciated!
