Does this ever happen to you, being among lots of people, like in a party or show or social event, and feeling like you are somewhere else? You soul departing the body and floating somewhere above all people, watching you and everybody and laughing at the way people are chatting without really noticing each other.

Nice one ina!! I’ve often wished and perhaps dreamed it but I can’t say that I have really ever felt something like this. I think different people cope with challenging social experiences in different ways… some try to escape (like in your pic) some try to avoid (probably my way of coping) and then others try to overcompensate (The arrogant, loud, obnoxious socialiser). I can definately associate the the mindless social chatter expressed here.

  • I’ve rather known you as a sensible, deeply minded chatter on RB…
We all have our facades in the social environment. I guess I am often the “other thoughts, other thoughts, other thoughts” type (Nr. 7 from left) or the type “very interesting very interesting but I’m just not there, I’m not really listening” (Nr. 4 from left).

Sorry – I thought the ones with skirts were women and the ones with trousers were men. If only life was so simple though :)

  • Hahahaha! If only life was as simple as the difference between skirts and trousers!
    Nr. 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 from left are women (thin, fat, with skirts or trousers…)
    Nr. 2, 3, 6, 7 are men.
Oh my, I just realized my world has more women than men… I am sorry! :-)

P.S. also the fact the “he” is bigger than the lady “he” is talking to :) Androgynous or not, it’s a good drawing :)

Ah so good, i can see myself going through all these stages as i drink more and more, starting at 4 leading to 2 and eventually 5.
You have so much work in here and its all so good, like reading a great book where you cant wait to turn the page

  • Chili, I don’t know how to reply to such comments… You just make me blush… Thank you… And second: I thought that drinking rather makes you hallucinate – well if I look at your “Stella Artois nightmares” series….

  • I am usually Nr. 1 or Nr. 3 or Nr. 7 depending on the mood, and occasionally Nr. 5. but I don’t need any alcohol to experience Nr. 5: emotion-induced drugs do the job hahahaha
