Isolation by

Mixed media artwork: ink drawing and old book paper collage on watercolor paper.

You can buy the original here

The figure seems overloaded by information (or ideas? feelings?) and seems isolated, but there still is a small opening, just over the head, a hope to escape.

5 words are heightened in the text: Broken Pieces, Stories, Nights, Myths, People (θρύψαλα, ιστορίες, νύχτες, μύθοι, άνθρωποι).

Dimensions: 26 × 36 cm, 10 1/4″ × 14 1/8"

awesome Ina! Love it! Ive been reading a bit on collective consciousness that I find relates to your artwork. I guess its that fact that I feel some sort of association or sense of unifiction when viewing art expessing an individuals isolation… at least that what I feel when I look at your art :) Definately relate to the info overload too. I think sometimes the way a person can cope with that is to create the isolation… even though they may not be aware of it, the lonliness may be self-inflicted (on a sub concious level). Anyway … Im rambling … guess thats why I like your art, ’cause it always makes me think :)

  • Matt, thank you for all your comments… I really don’t know how to thank you, it’s so motivating to be understood…
