Then You Announced It Was My Very Last Performanceby Ina Mar
Story: The marionette’s strings are directly bound to the puppet master’s fingers. All she wanted was to continue playing for him. But while she was performing, he announced her that it had been the very last performance. With his other hand and a pair of scissors, he cut the strings, one after another. She tried to forget her words, but the prompt kept reminding them to her.
Credits: The eyes, nose and mouth were taken from Egon Schiele’s “Fräulein Beer” (1914, Marlborough Fine Art Ltd., London).
Size of the original (digital file): 23.6 × 35.4 in (60×90cm) Technique: paper collage, scanning of found or created objects, photomanipulation and digital painting, using multiple textures from my own photo stock
