Join me at the Juried Invitational Exhibition…

I am very excited to exhibit in SoJie 13. SoJie 13 takes its name from the first letters of Solo’s Juried Invitational Exhibition. 68 other members of the Solo Exhibition group, besides myself, are exhibiting.

This exhibition is based on an open workshop, in which I participated, where members translated member digital artists’ images to our respective favorite medium in traditional, photography, or digital.

Non members, as well as members, ARE welcome to view all of the works on show. So I hope that you will click the show banner, above, and follow the link to view my fellow exhibitors. The works are presented “gallery size” and are beautiful, seen together. Each translation follows the originating digital work.

Winners of the open exhibition will be announced on September 28th in an awards ceremony.

If you do not belong to the group, Solo Exhibition, you CAN lend support by commenting in my journal, here, about the show.

THIS JOURNAL IS ALSO PART OF A WEB RING. You can also follow other artists involved, by clicking on the WEB RING BADGE below. You don’t need to be a member of Solo Exhibition to show your support, this web ring is especially for non members! Thank you!

Ina, I really like your “Tandem bike…” digital, not only for its dynamic, but also because it engages the thought process! We saw that in action with Maria Paterson’s extraordinary translation of the work, which inspired her thoughts of a tunnel (of love, as it turned out). Your line drawing of “Balancing…” after Igor Shrayer’s “Cold as Ice, Hot as Fire” came from an obvious place of complexity. Yet you simplified the concept down to it’s most minimal components of communication. Congratulations on your work and exhibits, Ina!

Wonderful work, Ina! Your Tandem Bike was amazing and inspired a gorgeous translation by Maria! And your translation of “Hot as Fire, Cold As Ice”, was, as Frannie put it, a complex concept taken straight to the basics. Excellent work and congratulations on being a part of SoJie 13! Isn’t this fabulous?
