I have the privilege to work with some of the most talented models and dancers in the world. Giulia is by far one of my favorites and a dear friend as well. To achieve these images takes a lot of work, on a normal day we can shoot over 400 jumps to get the best images. Each jump has to be adjusted to look right in the camera, and we experiment with different angles and lighting set-ups as well. There are no trampolines, she jumps from and lands on the floor. The model is Giulia Piolanti, an Italian gymnast turned modern dancer turned Cirque du Soleil performer, she is currently performing in Zed, a permanent show in Tokyo, Japan. Giulia recently earned second place in Pole Art in the International Pole Dance competition.

A wonderful image. I love the lighting that picks up her body structure and carefully illuminates the plastic.
